Here is a video of my pomeranian puppy using this fantastic little box. He uses it without hesitation when he needs the toilet. where to go now. This great box removes the need for purchasing expensive puppy pads as we just put old news paper in the bottom. The grass is easily washable and the box is very easy to clean also. My clever puppy only took a few days to learn how to use it, we started by putting a puppy pad in the box without the grass, then removed the pad and used the grass just as suggested on the very useful dvd that came with the box. | "As a registered breeder of Pomeranians I have been absolutely thrilled with this product and wish I had it earlier. I try my best to toilet train my pups before they go to their new home and this product really achieves that far more successfully than the ‘pad’ method and is far easier than dashing them outside to the garden, easier for the puppy and easier on me! My puppies have been using this system of house training since they were four weeks old. By the time the puppies leave me at nine weeks old they are pretty much there – much to the delight of their new owners who take one of these Litter Boxes with them (included into the price of course).At first glance you might think this expensive but you are going to spend at least this amount on pads by the time you have finished training your pup. On top of that, in my experience, puppies just love to rip pads up and throw them everywhere – contents included! Little dogs are just the right size to be apartment dogs, this product beats trying to run down the stairs and out of the flat then round to the grass in time for its elimination, at least that’s what my son found when he had one of my Poms. Also handy for when you may be out of the house for a while and concerned about what you might find deposited when you get home, if the dog has an alternative toileting spot, no problem. | "I got a puppy in December and because I live in an apartment and the nearest area I can walk my dog is a little way off, I decided to try your Rascal Dog Litter Box (Little Squirt bought online from Amazon). My puppy is a Cavapoo (cross Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a toy poodle) and classed as a toy dog. She is 16 weeks old now and has been using her litter box since I got her when she was 8 weeks old. She wasnt allowed out until she was 12 weeks old due to injections etc and as I havent a balcony, yard or garden, the litter box seemed ideal. I followed your instructions and within a couple of days she was using your box regularly and has been ever since. I take her out twice a day and she uses the litter box in between, she seems quite happy to go both outdoors and in the Rascal Little Squirt. I do have the occasional accident in other areas of the house, but when all said and done she is still a puppy and can get excited when playing and forgets herself, usually it is because I am not keeping an eye on her and reminding her to go. The litter box fits in well with my lifestyle. I keep it in the utility room and Lola takes herself there on her own now. I usually put a puppy pad in the bottom of the tray under the plastic layer to catch the urine, only to make it easier to lift it out to dispose of, but you dont really need to do that, you can just dispose of it in the toilet. I clean her tray daily and wash her grass matting every week. I wash the grass in the washer on a cold wash in the bag provided and it is fine. You must remember to fasten the bag tight with the toggle as some of the grass and backing comes away, not much, but it keeps it in the bag. I even put it straight back in the box after the washer cycle has finished, just like damp wet grass, but it has been spun so is not that wet ;) I would recommend it to anyone living in an apartment or who do not have easy access to a yard or garden. It is neat, tidy and easy to keep clean. I did at first use puppy pads in the tray, as there is a useful insert that holds down the pad so puppy cant drag it around, I did this because she had been shown how to use puppy pads by the breeder. Once Lola got used to going into the tray (only a couple of days later) I introduced the grass and put pieces of a soiled puppy pad down the sides and she had a little sniff at first, but then went straight in. I am very pleased with my buy, it did at first seem expensive, but it is very sturdy and the sides are great in stopping little bums hanging of the edge!" Lola of England!!!! |
